陸マイラーとは？

世の中の進歩は目まぐるしいもので、今や航空会社系カードのマイルも飛行機に乗って長距離を移動して集めるものではないらしい。デパートで、飲食店で、電気店で、アマゾンや楽天などのオンラインモールで、航空系カードを使ってマイルを貯める。貯めたマイルの利用だって航空券やビジネスシートへのアップグレード以外に地方の特産品やギフト券などのような、飛行機に乗らない人でも利用できるグッズがたくさんある。

本来は飛行機に乗ってなんぼであった航空会社のマイレージ制度なのに、陸の上でマイルを集め、陸の上でマイルを使う。こういう人を陸マイラーと呼ぶ。読み方は「リクマイラー」より「オカマイラー」が正しいらしい。

ポイント制度をうまく使ってトクをするべし

マイレージ系カードはポイントカードとしてもかなり充実している。最低でも1%の還元、うまくやれば2%やそれ以上での還元も可能だし、飛行機を使う人であれば航空券に引き替えることでさらにお得なレートでの還元が可能だ。それに提携企業が多いのもメリットの一つで、ホテルや旅行会社、レンタカー、語学教室から百貨店やガソリンスタンドなどでも提携店舗は少なくない。うまく使えばメインカードとしてポイントの有利さを活かせる！

注意しないといけないのは貯めたマイルの利用やポイント振り替えに手数料がかかること。しかもその手数料が数千円とかなり高いこともあって、利用額が少ないと手数料＞ポイント還元額となり本末転倒だ。マイレージ系カードのポイント制度を利用する場合は手数料を払っても元が取れなきゃいけないから、自ずと「たくさんカード決済を使う人」に限定される。よく調べておかないと泣きを見るかも。
