なつゲーは懐かしいテレビゲームを遊べる有料オンラインサイト。まずは500円程度の少額でコインを買ってコインで遊ぶシステムなのだが、500円でもかなり楽しめる。というか、使い切れない。僕は数ヶ月前にオンライン登録して500円分のコインを買ってみたのだけど、未だに半分も使っていない。

ラインナップを見てみると確かにレトロで懐かしいゲームがたくさん。ファミコンのソフトの中でもさらに黎明期に出たゲームばかりで、「いっき」「バイナリィランド」「ナッツ＆ミルク」なんて1990年以前にファミコンを体験した世代じゃないとわからないんじゃないだろうか？このほかにも「ロードランナー」「エキサイトバイク」「プーヤン」もこの頃にあった懐かしいゲーム。懐かしすぎて涙が出そう。

で、なつゲーでキャンペーン期間にアンケートに答えたらこのUSBゲームパッドを送ってきたというわけだ。仕方がないから(？)パソコンに接続して、SNESエミュレータで2時間ほどかけてロックマン4をクリアしてしまった。何やってんだか、という気もするが、これまでキーボードでの操作ではドラクエやエストポリス伝記などのロールプレイングゲームか、ファイアーエムブレムや大航海時代のようなシミュレーションゲーム、あるいはどう頑張ってもゼルダの伝説をクリアするのが限界だったので、USBコントローラの導入によってアクションゲームも楽しめるようになって、これでこれまでより快適にゲームが楽しめるようになって、勉強に割く時間が少なくなって、試験を落として留年もして…アレ？駄目じゃん。
