googleの検索履歴保存機能「MySearchHistory」

検索履歴を保存し、あとから再度チェックできる

前もって言っておくと、このサービスはhttp://www.google.co.jp/では使えない。このサービスを利用するにはhttp://www.google.com/、つまり米国のグーグル本体で検索する必要がある。といっても外観も検索能力もほとんど差がないし、米国グーグルでも日本語表示は完全に対応しているので全く問題はない。

IE6.0以降でクッキーとjavascriptが使えることが条件。グーグル内でまずはmy accountを作ろう。メールアドレスを登録すればOK。これを使ってログインした状態で検索するとその履歴が記録されていく。MySearchHistoryを訪れると、これまでにどの語句で検索し、その検索結果からどのサイトへ飛んでいったのかを見ることができるのだ。

検索語句だけでなく、そこからどこへ飛んでいったのかまで見ることができるのがこのMySearchHistoryの便利なところ。調べごとのためにあるサイトを訪れた後、さらに追加で調べなければならないことが見つかったもののどのサイトで調べたのかがわからなくなってしまった、というような状況でもMySearchHistoryを使えばそのサイトを簡単に再び訪れることができるのだ。そしてGoogleなんだからもちろん検索機能がついている。つまり、「これまでに検索した履歴」の中を検索することができるのだ。これで今までに訪れたサイトをより迅速に探し当てることができるはず。

GoogleのMyAccountはMySearchHistory以外でも使える場面はどんどん広がってゆく予定なのでとっておいても損はない。どんどん広がってゆくGoogleワールド、まったく目が離せないぞ！
