Google Groups2が面白い

ここでは無数の話題についてスレッドが立っており、それぞれのスレッドの内容は配信を申し込んだ人にメールで中身が伝えられる。掲示板とメーリングリストの良いところを取り合わせたような内容だが、なんにしろ主催が天下のgoogle様だけあって世界中からその内容に関心のある人が集まってくる。2ちゃんねるからアングラなイメージを除いて、さらにそれを国際派に衣替えした感じだろうか？

さらに大きな特徴はgoogleだけあってその検索機能が優れているということ。知りたいキーワードで検索すればその話題が交わされているスレッドを簡単に見つけ出すことが出来る。またわからないことを調べるときに辞書的に使うにもこの検索機能はとても使いやすい。

最大の難点は、国際的なサイトだけあって会話は基本的に全て英語であること（といっても2ちゃんねると違ってここでのやりとりは基本的には書き言葉で行われているので高校生程度の英語力でも十分について行くことは出来るが）。また一つのスレッドの寿命が短く次々話題が変わってゆくので、数日間チェックせずにいたらすぐに話しについて行けなくなる。もっともこの問題に関しては2ちゃんねるのようにdat落ちしたりはしないので安心だが。
