この本の出版はかなりトラブっているらしい。もともと「ものすごい勢いで○○するスレ」というのは2chニュース速報vip板の得意とするスレ。他のどの板とも違う独特のノリのあるvip板でこそ誕生したこのスレなのだが、双葉社が電車男の二匹目のドジョウを狙って勝手にひろゆき氏と話を付けて出版にこぎ着けたらしい。痴漢男本人も出版には肯定的だが、反対しているのがvip板住人。

なにしろこのスレが成り立っているのはvip板住人の協力とノリ（vip板ではこれをクオリティという）があったから。勝手に出版されるのは納得が行かないとして、雑誌「ネットランナー」と抗争を繰り広げたときのように大々的に反対キャンペーンをやっている。
