マウスが壊れた予感…

僕は操作感のしっかりした重めのマウスが好きなので（軽いマウスは感覚がわかりにくくポインタの移動がしにくい気がする）自宅ではマイクロソフトの光学マウスを使っているが、外では軽くて小さいマウスを使っていたのだ。だが、この小さいマウスは光学マウスが出始めた頃から使っているいわば黎明期の光学マウスで、読み取り性能も今のものに比べて格段に悪い。

そのマウスがどうもトチ狂ってきた。カーソルが頻繁に引っかかってストレスがたまるし、マウスを動かしていないのにカーソルが画面をアッチコッチ飛び回ったりする。どうも読み取りセンサーの部分がこの4～5年の酷使の間に傷付いてしまっているようだ。そもそもノートパソコンは丁寧にクッションケースに入れて持ち運びしているのにこのマウスは裸のまま鞄に突っこんでいたりしてずいぶんとかわいそうなことをした。

とはいえ、マウスとして機能しなくなってきては不便だ。ノートパソコンにはトラックパッドやトラックポイントが付いているのでマウスが無くても使うことは不可能ではないけれど、僕はパソコンに関してはとことん操作感にこだわりたい人なのでマウスは大事なのだ。というわけで、今度はどんなマウスを買おうかしらん。鞄の中でマウスのケーブルがノートのACアダプタと激しい乱交プレイして収集付かなくなっていることがしばしばなので、今度はコードレスマウスにしようかなぁ。
