無線LANの電波をセキュリティ設定で守る

ほとんどの場合はそれらのアクセスポイントにはセキュリティ用の暗号化が科されているけれどまれに何のセキュリティ状の設定もない無防備な状態で解放されている無線LANアクセスポイントが見つかることがある。実際、僕の実家のベランダでこの電波を検索してみると弱いながらセキュリティの掛かっていないアクセスポイントが見つかってしまった。電波が弱すぎて実際の通信はできなかったけれど、このアクセスポイントは無防備な状態で無線LAN環境を周辺住民に公開していることになる。

これは非常に危険な状態。他人が自分の家のLAN環境に入ってこれるということになるから、ドライブやフォルダを共有する設定にしてあったとすると他人が自分のパソコンのドライブやフォルダをのぞけることになってしまうし、他人がこのIPからクラッキング・winny・掲示板荒らしなどを行ったときにヘタをすれば自分に疑いをかけられかねない。

正直僕はベランダでこのアクセスポイントを見つけてしまったときにビビってしまったわけだけど、この文書を読んでいる人の中で特にセキュリティの設定もなく無線LAN環境を構築している人は今すぐにでも信号の暗号化とANY接続拒否の設定を行うことをおすすめするよ。
