Gmailの紹介状発送可能数が100通に倍増

このフリーメールのGmailは紹介状がなければアカウントを取得できない（米国内ではアカウントの一般配布が始まった）。Gmailの登場当初はこのアカウントはかなりの希少価値があったが、このところはGoogleもGmailのアカウントをかなり太っ腹に振りまいている。

完全にフリーメール化してしまうとMSNのhotmailのようにただのスパムメールの温床にしかならない。今やhotmail.comから届くメールは最もスパム汚染率が高いと言える。Gmailは今のところは高級感のある雰囲気を保っているけれど、アカウントが完全に無制限に手に入るようになってしまうとこれもどうなることやら。

というわけで、Gmailにはもうしばらくは紹介状がなければアカウントを取得できないという制度をキープして欲しいと思っている。ちなみに紹介状は使ってもしばらくすると補充されてゆくのでかなりの数の友人を誘うことが出来る。
