Thinkpadに変調？黒くないボディ、ワイド液晶を採用したモデル

なんでこんなモデルを作ってしまったのか、僕は正直ガッカリだ。いかにも安っぽくて大衆受けを狙ったこのデザイン。ユーザーに媚びない孤高のIBMスタイルはどこへ行ってしまったのか。他のメーカーと同じ「コアユーザーやハードユーザーを相手にまじめに商売するよりも、何もわからない素人を騙し騙し商売するほうがラクだし儲かる」という判断からだろうか。

今後はこれまでのIBMのような実戦派ノートパソコンはもう絶滅してしまうのかもしれない。それで3年ほど使ったらハードディスクがイカれて、故障したら部品がないからと修理も出来ずにカンタンに買い換える時代になってゆくのだろうか。

なんとも嘆かわしいと思ってこのモデルの発表を見ていたわけだけど、こういう風に感じるのも少数派なのかもしれない。大多数は「高嶺の花だったThinkpadがこんなに身近に！」と喜んでいるのかな。だとすれば、なおさらガッカリだ。
