Turion64対応マザーボード「MSI K8MM-V」を買いました。

Turion64に対応とはいえ、25W版のTurion64 MTシリーズには公式上はMT-34（L2=1MB、1.8Ghz）までしか対応していない。しかもBIOS1.3以降にアップデートする必要もある。2ch自作PC板のTurion64スレによるとMT-37（2.0GHz）、MT-40（2.2GHz）では動作しなかったという報告もあるので、どのTurion64でも良いというわけではなく結構厳しくCPUを選ぶマザーだそうだ。

ただ、サイコムの静音PCはこのMSI K8MM-VとTurion64の組み合わせを使っているのでMT-34までであればそれなりに信頼性もあるのだろうと思う。Socket754のマザーボードは数あれどTurion64対応を公式に謳っているものはほとんどないので、このマザーボードの存在は貴重。ベンチスコアばかりでなく、静音・省電力を重視する自作ファンの存在を無視しないMSIの姿勢、ちょっとカッコいい。
