ただ上のリンク先の記事でも書かれているように、このネーミングの最後に付いた「Pro」の単語は、今後このIntelチップ搭載Macの下位機種が発売されるのではないかという予感を抱かせるのは確かだ。つまりWindowsXP ProfessionalとWindowsXP Homeの関係のような、エントリー層向けのMacが登場するかもしれないと。そうだとしたらまだこのネーミングも救われる気もするが。

iPod shuffle、iPod nano、iTunesなどこのところMacからリリースされている商品のネーミングにはおしゃれなモノも多かっただけに、さすがにMacBook Proというネーミングにがっくりするのもなんとなく理解できる気もする。
