携帯mp3プレーヤーや各種デジタルオーディオなどはその小ささゆえに持ち運びは超便利なのだけど、いちいちパソコンのUSBポートに繋いで音楽を入れてやるのが案外面倒くさい。そこで例えばAppleの各種ドックシリーズのような、机の上に置いて携帯充電器のように使えるUSBポートが人気を集めるわけだ。見た目以上にケーブルでイチイチ接続する面倒が省けて便利。

それにしてもエレコムはこのUSBハブを「iPod shuffleのドックとして使えます」と堂々と言わないところがなんともイヤラシイ。社内ではあきらかにiPodユーザーの需要を狙っているはずなのにね。一皮むけばオオカミなのに、いかにもネコかぶってヒツジのふりをしているみたいだね。
