大学講義へのノートパソコン持ち込みはOK？NG？

こんなことで議論が起こるあたりはいかにもアメリカという感じがするが、これと同じような現象は日本でも近い将来起こってもおかしくはない。Microsoftは授業のノートもノートパソコンで取れるようなOneNoteという便利なアプリケーションを販売しているし、Mac用Wordでは音声を録りながらノートを書けるノートモードも搭載している。パソコンはノートを取りながら授業を受けるためのデバイスとして十分なキャパシティを持っている。

で、日本でこのノートパソコンが大学の講義に受け入れられるかどうかというと、可能性としては起こりえるがまだまだ一部のマニアの間でしか流行らないだろうと思われる。もともと日本の大学の大半は陳腐で無価値な講義に「単位」という出席縛りでもって学生を拘束して出席させているだけの低レベルなものが多いから講義に出てノートを取るのは一部の真面目な学生に限られるという大学が少なくないし、IT化に対してよほど熱心な大学でない限り教室に学生のノートパソコンに電源を供給するプラグがあるとは思えない。そして何より、人間の意識がそこまでデジタリスト化していないという気がする。

それはともかく、講義のノートをノートパソコンで取るというのは僕にとってはちょっとやて見たいことの一つである。残念ながら僕は大教室でノートを取りながら授業を受けるという機会そのものがもう皆無な状況なので真似ようとしても真似るチャンス自体がないのだが、もし機会があったらICレコーダーで録音しながらノートを取るなんてことをやってみたいなぁ。
