Vodafoneがドメイン認証による新しい迷惑メール対策を導入

ドメイン認証による迷惑メール対策は米国のYahoo!メールなども導入していたと記憶しているが、迷惑メールの多くがドメインを詐称するなりすましの技術を使っているためにこのドメイン認証によって迷惑メールをかなり強力にシャットアウトできる可能性がある。パソコンから大量に同報送信したメールなのに携帯電話から送信したメールであるかのように見せかけたり、迷惑メールの送信元が「自分自身のメールアドレス」と同じだったりするメールはこれで遮ることができるというわけだ。

もちろんこれで全ての迷惑メールが遮られるわけではなく、なりすましていないメール（堂々と送信者のメールアドレスを名乗っているメール）はこのフィルターを素通りしてくるわけだけど、迷惑メールを遮断するためのフィルターは多ければ多いほど効果は増すだろうから期待は持てる。

パソコンで使うメールアドレスに使う迷惑メールフィルタリングに最も有効とされているベイジアン型フィルタ（POPFileなど）は、迷惑メールの認識能力はあらゆる迷惑メール対策ソフトの中では最も有効とされているが、迷惑メールを正しく判断して遮断できるようになるまでに100以上のメールを「学習させる」作業が必要になるため、携帯電話メールには適さない。

こうなってくるとVodafoneよりもさらに迷惑メールに悩まされているであろうと思われるドコモにもこのドメイン認証による迷惑メールフィルタリングを導入して欲しいものだ。
