依然として迷走気味のマクドナルドの価格。セット価格を値上げへ

100円、500円でキリの良い価格のメニューを提供していたがどうにも客単価が上がらないようで、100円メニューはそのままにセットのみ10円から30円程度の値上げをするらしい。客単価の低迷はファストフード業界全体の悩みであるようで、例えば牛丼店も新メニューを出したりセットを販売したりしているが、マクドナルドほど頻繁に価格を変えているファストフードは他にはないのではなかろうか。

なぜこんなに頻繁に価格を改めるのか、もっと一貫した方向性を持って価格の設定を行っていないのか、マクドナルドの内部事情は知らないが顧客側から見てみるとちょっと呆れてしまう。

それはともかく、マクドナルドはこの価格改定とあわせて営業時間帯の拡大も行うらしい。一部の店舗（国道など夜間でも通行量の多い道路に面した店舗など）では試験的に24時間営業も導入するようで、深夜帯では独占的な立場にあるコンビニ陣営のなわばりに食い込んでゆきたいようだが…どうせまたこの営業時間帯の延長もすぐに辞めたりするんでしょうと疑って見てしまうよね。そう思われても仕方がない姿勢だったんだと思う。
