Golive CS2体験版を使ってみた。

だけど、Dreamweaverに慣れた人間にとってはなかなかGoliveのインターフェイスは使いにくい…。公式サイトや、電器店で見たパッケージに印刷されているインターフェイスはなかなか使いやすそうで、しかも段組レイアウトをCSSベースで簡単に書き出せるというので期待していたのだが…。

何よりも僕が疑問に思ったのは、なぜページのプレビューがOperaのレンダリングエンジンベースなんだよ。どう考えても今の世界のWebはInternet Explorerが席巻しているし、その次に重要度が高くWeb標準への準拠度でも無視できないのはFirefoxであるはずだ。OperaなんてものはFirefox登場以後はシェア1％以下のブラウザに成り下がってしまったというのに…。プレビューがOperaというのはあまりにもひどい(;つД｀) 。

MacromediaがAdobeに買収された今となってはAdobeの中には有力なWebオーサリングソフトの2大タイトルであるDreamweaverとGoliveが併存しているわけだが、これも次バージョンか次の次のバージョンくらいになるとどちらかに統合されそうな気がする。シェアから言ってもブランド力から言っても圧倒的にDreamweaverが優位なはずだが、そこは買収された側の企業であるからどちらが残るのかはわからない。今のバージョンだけを見ると、意味わからん仕様が色々あるGoliveよりはDreamweaverに生き残って欲しいが、果たしてどうなることやら。

もう一つ、Adobe Bridgeを初めて使ってみたが、これはなかなか便利だ。ソフトウェアそのものがかなり重いので非力なパソコンで使うのはやや苦しそうだが、写真をグリグリとプレビューできるのは良い感じ。ただし、これもGoliveの体験版が使用できる30日間しか使用できないのが悲しい。Bridgeだけを3000円くらいで単体販売してくれないかなぁ。
