現行のskype3.0正式版には不具合があるみたい。

まず目立つのが、コンタクトの検索時にエラーが出るということ。コンタクトの検索は、ユーザーが設定したプロフィールの情報をもとにしてユーザーIDや出身地やメールアドレスなどで検索できるというもので、MSN messengerなどにはないskypeの便利な機能の一つとなっている。ところがこの検索を実行すると、検索完了時にエラーが表示される。いちおうエラーウインドウがポップアップするのみで実際には検索はできているようだけれど、気持ちが悪いのは確かだ。

また、コンタクトがオンラインになったときなどには画面の右下にポップアップ通知が出る機能があるが、これがどうやらskype3.0.0.190ではうまく機能していない。どうやら設定の問題ではなく、どのような設定でもこのポップアップ通知が出ないようになってしまっているようだ。コンタクトがオンラインになっても通知が出ないので不便を感じる。

さらに大きな問題の一つは、登録するメールアドレスに数字や記号（ピリオドを除く）を含むものを登録しようとするとエラーが出て登録を受け付けてくれないことだ。アルファベットのみのメールアドレスでは正しく登録できるようなのでこれは単にskypeの中でメールアドレスが正しく入力されたかどうかをチェックする機構の単純なバグと思われる。

いずれもskype 3.0Betaでは見られなかった異常で、正式版になってからこのような稚拙なバグが出てくるのは残念だ。おそらくskype開発陣もこのようなバグはすでに把握していることと思うが、一刻も早く修正版がリリースされることを望む。
