この料金プランの導入によってドコモは約200億円の営業収益減収となるとのことでNTTドコモの株価も一時的に下がってしまっているようだが、それはユーザーにとっては全国全ユーザー合わせて200億円分の値下げになると言うことでもある。5000万ユーザーで割り勘すれば年間400円と微々たる額なのではあるが。

この新しいパケホーダイダブルの導入によって、これまでパケットパック10を利用していた人は全員がほぼ確実に安くなる（基本料金も21円下がり基本料金ないで利用できるパケット数も0.1円から0.084円になる）。ただし、パケホーダイの1029円分はこれまでのパケットパックと異なり、通話の無料通話分としては使えないので、通話が1000円を超えていて毎月パケット利用料は少なかった人はそうとは限らない。パケットパックを利用しておらず月々の送受信パケット数が5145パケットより多い人は、パケホーダイダブルの導入によって少しだけ支払いが安くなる。

一方で、月に確実に約52500円パケット以上使う人は現行のパケホーダイのほうがパケホーダイダブルより315円安いので、今回のプラン導入の恩恵には与れない。その間の範囲に居る人や、月によって52500パケットを超えたり超えなかったりという人が一番微妙なラインにいるわけだが、こちらでの試算によると、パケットパック30を使っている人で37500パケット～84000パケットの範囲にいる人の場合はパケットパック30のほうがパケホーダイダブルよりも安く済むらしい。また、余った無料パケット分を家族で分け合えないというのも通常のパケットパックに比べて見劣りする点である。

結局、自分の料金プランによってよく吟味して導入するか否かを決定しなければならないと言うことには変わりないのだが、パケット使用量が比較的少ないが全く使わないわけではない（たとえばメールはよく送受信するなど）の人はお得になる確率が高い。
