coreserver のお試し期間2週間を遊んでみているが

Pukiwiki を用いているサイトで xrea から coreserver に移転して当初はウェブサイトが表示されなかったが、その原因が分からずにいた。しかし Google で少し調べてみると、.htaccess の IgnoreLayoutURI を削除してみると問題が解決したというとあるブログの記述を見つけたので、さっそく試してみるとまさに大当たり。

xrea から coreserver に移ってみた感想としては、転送速度としてはあまり違いが実感できない。もともとさくらインターネットのさくらサーバースタンダードなどと比べて xrea などのサーバはサーバスペック自体は優秀なのに回線が弱い（細い）ということをよく言われていた。coreserver も登場当初はそれを指摘されていたが、徐々にサーバ数が増えて回線の遅さは解決されたと聞いていたのだが…。とはいえ、もともとxrea の転送速度にそれほど不満を感じていたわけでもなく、coreserver に関してもそれは大した不満ではない。

サーバ間コピーの機能や MySQL の dump 保存機能を使えば xrea から coreserver への移転はすぐに出来る。ファイル数が1万以上あっても引越は10分程度しか掛からなかった。この点は非常に評価できる点。

FTP の転送や MovableType の編集のレスポンスにも大して違いを実感できず。2週間のお試し期間はまだ半分以上残っているが、このままだと xrea から coreserver に敢えて移転する必要性はなさそう。
