第5世代 iPod nano が魅力的

これまでのiPod nanoも機能向上を続けてきていたが、今回の新機能はすごい。動画撮影機能はYoutubeにiPodを以て殴り込みをかけようという姿勢。本体に動画撮影カメラを内蔵するとは思わなかった（制止がカメラが先だと思った）。カメラが本体下部についており、特に右手で本体を保持していると隠れる側にあるのが、撮影時に指の位置をおくのが難しそうではあるが、液晶画面の背面はスペースには難があったのだろう。第6世代ではカメラの位置も変わるかな？静止画対応が先決だと思うが。

そのほかにこれまでSONYのウォークマンが対応していたFMラジオ機能搭載をiPod nanoも実現したことも気になるところ。番組をいったん停止し、後で再び聞き始められる「ライブポーズ」機能というものも魅力的だが、巻き戻せるのは受信していた放送内容に限られるであろうから使い道はあまりないかも。それよりボイスレコーダー搭載というのがビジネス用途で人気を博すかも。

個人的には動画撮影とボイスレコーダーアプリが気になるところ。万歩計もついているようだが、これはまぁ有ってもなくてもどちらでもという感じ。GPS機能がつけばよいと思うが、これはiPhoneとの棲み分けの問題から搭載は難しいかしらん。

この動画撮影機能はトウサツに使われるんじゃないか？
一昔前に、携帯電話カメラに音声が出るよう義務づけられたのと同じ流れが起こる予感。
