mac book proに興味を持っている

Thinkpadの現行バージョンを見るとどれも悪くはないのだが、そもそも横長（ワイド液晶）のThinkpadというのは見た目があまりよろしくない。またCPUやHDDの性能は問題ないのだがGPUや液晶といった面では若干の不満も感じる。もっとも、ドックを使用してディスプレイを外付けしているので液晶の広さなどはあまり環形が無いのだが。

Thinkpadを販売しているLenovo以外のメーカーに目を向けると、NECや東芝やDellなどの大手は平凡でスペック面でもLenovoに比べて勝っているという点は見られず、あまり魅力を感じない。
たとえばマウスコンピューターのように先進的・野心的なスペックを持ったノートPCを販売しているメーカーもあるのだけれど、デザイン性という点ではちょっといまいち感がある。以前のようにデスクトップパソコンを自作すれば好きなスペックのマシンを組めるのでは、という気もするが、いまのパソコンの使い方を考えると自分の部屋の仕事デスクで使用したりリビングで使用したりと自宅内でも持ち運びながら使っているので、やはりノートが第一希望になる。

ハードウェアのスペック面やインターフェイスや周辺機器の充実度で見れば、mac book proはどうしてこの価格で実現できるのか不思議なくらいに高いレベルを持っている。mac OSは一切無視してBoot campでWindowsを導入し、Windows専用マシンとしてmac book proを使用しても良いのではないかという気もしてくる。

ちょっと不満な点は、あの平べったいキーボードだが。これはThinkpad的ながっしりしたキーボードになれた人が他社マシンに移るときにみな感じる不満点かもしれない。
